I wanted something totally different and original so I used a battle where I was real loud and animated and motherfuckers would tell me you should be Xzibit because it’s like you on display. So I started calling myself Xzibit.”

“It was just a timing thing you know certain rappers had conflicts at the time you know and it came down to everybody being able to come to the table and had to be in a timely manner because that’s what the label wanted but those are my niggas and I wish it would happen and I’ll never say never.”
“Actually, I met some producers first. There was Broadway – James Broadway – and Madcap was another group that they were producing at the time. And through them I met King T, and through King T I met the Alkoholiks. And that’s when I got inducted into the Alkoholiks Hall of Fame.”
