Marques Colston is an American professional football player with an estimated net worth of $6 million. Marques got his net worth as a wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. Produced on June 5, 1983 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he began playing football at quite a young age. His great impact was his father who played briefly in the Canadian Football League. Marques attended Susquehanna Township High School and graduated in June 2011. He was a letterman in football and track. Marques won All-Conference honors as a wide receiver/defensive end. He was named to the All-Atlantic 10 first team after building a career-high 70 receptions for 976 yards (13.9 avg.) and five touchdowns. He had 14 receptions for 335 yards (23.9 avg.) and three touchdowns as a freshman. He made 47 grabs for 614 yards (13.06 avg.) and three scores in 2002. He led the team with 51 receptions for 910 yards (17.8 avg.) and seven touchdowns as a junior in 2003. In the 2004 season, the junior in 2003 was redshirted as a result of a shoulder injury.
Marques Colston was drafted by the Saints in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Marques holds the NFL records for most receptions in a player’s first two seasons with 168. Marques helped the Saints to achieve success in Super Bowl XLIV with seven receptions for 83 yards. He’s the Saints’ all time franchise leader in receiving touchdowns and in complete touchdowns. He’s also one of the part-owners of his hometown Harrisburg Stampede of the American Indoor Football.
