Danilo Gallinari played professional basketball in 2004 for Italian team,Casalpusterlengo. After annually, he was obtained by the Armani Jeans Milano. Finally, he was sent to the Edimes Pavia. He averaged 14.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 0.8 assists appeared in 17 matches with the team. He recalled by Olimpia Milano in 2006 and played for the team. Gallinari won the 2007 Italian All Star Game 3-point shootout competition. After his two seasons with the team, he declared his eligibility for the NBA Draft. Gallinari was chosen as the very first round, 6th overall pick by the New York Knicks in the 2008 NBA Draft.
