Chris Iannetta started his career when he joined St. Raphael School baseball team. Chris received the All State honors for three years and was also a receiver of the C. Dona Manyard Award. In college, he joined the University of North Carolina Tar Heels’ baseball team. During his sophomore year together with the team, he recorded .319 batting average and 55 RBI. Chris was chosen as a fourth round pick by the Colorado Rockies in the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft. Iannetta started his minor league stint with the Asheville Tourists. He played with other teams for example Modesto Nuts, Tulsa Drillers, and Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Iannetta made his advent in the Majors on August 27, 2006. During his last season with the Rockies, he played in 112 games, batting .238 with 14 home runs and 55 RBI. He was traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in November 2011.
