Initially, Jennings chose to attend University of Southern California. Yet, Jennings changed his mind and chose to attend University of Arizona. After attending Oak Hill Academy, Jennings played professional basketball with Lottomatica Roma. On July 16, 2008, Jennings signed a $1.65 million net income guaranteed contract with the Italian Lega A’sLottomatica Roma, After a year with the Italian Club, he declared himself eligible for the 2009 NBA Draft. Eventually, Jennings was picked as the 10thoverall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks. This made him the first professional player to skip college, but played for a European team, then afterwards be drafted by the NBA.
