She starred in CBS’ television series Kate McShane, that she was nominated for an Emmy Award. The show was cancelled after 10 episodes. It was produced by Red Hour Digital, a production firm owned by their son, actor-comedian Ben Stiller. Anne Meara was born on September 20, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, USA. She wed fellow comic Jerry Stiller in 1954. Meara converted to Reform Judaism six years after wedding Stiller. They have 2 kids, Amy and Ben, who both work as performers.
