Aisha Tyler or Aisha N. Tyler is an American actress, stand-up comedian and author. Aisha was born in San Francisco, CA on September 18, 1970. Aisha is both of African American and Native American descent. At a young age, she already had an interest in comedy. Aisha attended the improv and theater classes. Aisha afterward went to Dartmouth College where she earned a degree in political science using a minor in environmental policy. Aisha became an associate of the co ed fraternity The Tabard. Aisha also founded the Dartmouth Rockapellas and sang with the all-female a capella group committed to spreading social awareness through their tunes. Aisha briefly worked for a San Francisco advertising firm. Aisha toured the state to pursue her comedy career and in 1996, she eventually moved to Los Angeles.
